There has been such a stigma around mental health

There has been such a stigma around mental health for so long, especially for men🕵🏼‍♂️Men have been brought up to believe “big boys don’t cry” and that vulnerability is seen as a weakness👎

There are so many courageous men who are leaning in, embracing their vulnerability and finding the true meaning of strength💪
No one can know true joy if they do not seek the dark places or shadow sides and recognise them, embrace and accept it.

“I’m not what I think I am, I’m not what you think I am, I’m what I think you think I am” Cooley.
Here is a story to demonstrate what I mean. Two frogs fell into a pit unable to come out.
Several frogs came round the pit to witness the plight of the frogs.
Both frogs were trying hard to get out of the pit by jumping. All the frogs round the pit Started shouting loudly advising against the foolish act of jumping as it appeared impossible.
Both frogs continued trying to jump and all the frogs round the pit screamed louder for them to stop.
Eventually the one frog got tired and listend to the group of frogs and gave up jumping any further.
The other frog continued to jump and his jumps became higher and higher until one big leap and he got out of the pit.
It turned out the frog that leaped out of the pit was deaf and he mistook the shouting of the group of frogs as cheers of encouragement and so he tried even harder.
It is not the reality but it is the perception that shapes one’s reality.

For those people who say they have no time to medi

For those people who say they have no time to meditate..... then you should meditate twice!
For those people who say they don’t know how to meditate, just sit quietly for five minutes. You are not wanting to stop your thoughts, you are just not wanting to attach to them. Notice and note and let them pass on.
When you feel your mind is wandering merely notice it and bring your attention back to your breath. You use your breath as an anchor.
There is no wrong way to meditate and there is no such thing as a bad meditation.
Give your mind a holiday and calm everything down on a cellular level.
The benefits are PROFOUND.
